A few weeks ago, when we announced the end of Seventh Sin, we made a promise not quit without a proper farewell show. We are keeping our promise! On September 12th Seventh Sin will have their last gig @ De Bosuil, Weert (NL). This will be a special show, nothing like the onces we did before. Make sure you're part of it if you can. Tickets will be only €5,- So save the date and be there!!
If you are in a band or you know a band that could be our support act, drop us a line. We are looking for a female fronted band and a male fronted band that matches our kind of music. Hopefully we'll see a lot of you on September 12th

After 12 years Seventh Sin have decided to call it a day. The band will split up after doing another 4 shows in The Netherlands and Belgium in July and September. After that, all band members will go their own way.
We feel sad about splitting up, but we are looking back on great times and awesome memories, things we will be talking to our grandchildren about. About having the nerve to talk to a promotor about wanting to get on stage and ending up with a support show for Kamelot, about sharing stage with awesome bands like Epica, Delain, Leave's Eyes, Revamp, Xandria and Stream of Passion, about touring the UK with Edenbridge, about meeting people, making new friends, sharing a passion, enjoying every single minute of a gig….. Etc.
We want to thank all fans, promotors, DJ's, reviewers, editors of magazines, sound and light crews, all bands we had the privilege to share the stage with, all stagehands and everyone else who made it possible for us to live our dream. We will be thankful forever.
Please know that we are saying goodbye with pain in our hearts and we will not leave you without a proper farewell show. We will keep you posted on everything that is to come.

We have found our new members to join the sinners family.
Tjeu Theunissen will be providing us with some heavy drums, while Jaap Didden will be slapping his 5 string with us. Congrats and a very big and warm welcome to both!

Another memorable gig to add to our list. We've had an awesome show in Wetzlar-Germany with our friends Arven. Sad but true, we had to say goodbye to Wiro

Last Friday, Wiro and Bart announced they will be leaving the band. That news has a big impact on you guys, but also on us.
However, Seventh Sin is still alive and kicking. The band is looking for a new drummer and a new bass guitarist and we've already started the auditions. If you want to become a part of Seventh Sin and you can match Wiro on drums or Bart on bass guitar, please get in touch with us.
We will miss Wiro for his never ending enthusiasm, for driving the tourvan, for being part of the superb pit crew when we had a flat tire on our way to the UK, for keeping our band meetings as to the point as possible, for being the happiest drummer alive, and so on, but most of all, for being such a good friend. A drummer can be replaced, but a dear friend is very hard to replace.
We will miss Bart for making all arrangements for our tours, for taking care of all the financial stuff, for making sure the fridge in the rehearsal room is always filled, for his always present dry humor and for being the one who's down to earth and sober.
Seventh Sin however won't quit. We've had some rough times in the past and we will overcome this bump in the road too. All planned gigs are still on, we're writing new music, and we hope to find worthy replacements for Wiro and Bart soon.
Wiro, Bart, we will miss you guys! Take care!
To everyone who got in touch after we published the leave of Wiro and Bart: Thank you so much! Your kind words really make a difference!

Statement from Bart
Dear Seventh Sin fans,
Due to personal circumstances the time has come for me to leave Seventh Sin.
This saddens me, partially because I'm one of the founding members. After many years of hard work we finally arrived at the point every one dreams of.
Your own cd "When Reality Ends". Touring, parties, creating the music you like and meeting new people. I've had a taste of it, and I must say, it tastes good. I will remain active in / with music, although it's not yet sure in what form.
One thing I do know is that I'm going to miss you all and I would like to that each and everyone of you for your support. On the first place Seventh Sin; thank you all for the great times we've had and not to forget: the fans. Thank you for the mails, reviews, pictures and everything else you've done for us.
Thanks and \m/

Statement from Wiro
How should you start writing a letter you never wanted to write. I think the best way is by starting writing down what it’s actually about:
Several weeks ago I made the difficult decision of leaving Seventh Sin. I informed my fellow band members about my decision and explained them on what grounds I made this decision. We took some time to over think what impact it will have for the band. Now it’s time to share this sad news with you all.
I hope I don’t have to explain how hard is was for me to make this decision. Finally one of my largest dreams is getting reality and now it seems, after several years of hard work, my dream does not fit in my life anymore. Since the start of Seventh Sin I worked hard to make music and to get ready for stage. After several misfortunes we managed to keep our heads together and still we stand. And now Seventh Sin is rising!
When I started with the band I was a student. Later I found myself a lovely girlfriend and we rented a house together. I had some ‘first’ jobs which were not that important to me. An ideal situation to give lots of energy and time to the band. Now my life is different. I’m married with my girlfriend, we bought a house which needs lots of work, our first kid celebrates his second birthday soon, my job is excellent with several career opportunities and finally: my second child is on its way!
Obviously I cannot give Seventh Sin my unconditional devotion I feel I have to give. I’m now slowing down the band. Something I cannot allow myself to do. Now I only hope Seventh Sin will find a good and pleasant successor who kicks ass with the band. I wish my fellow band members, which became all good friends of mine, all the best.
I want to thank you all for all the great feedback on our music and our shows. I’m glad I could taste a little bit of the real band-life during our gigs and especially during our UK tour. These memories will forever be in my mind.
Thank you, thank you, thank you all!
